In the 1860 Census taken on June 23rd, (John) Daniel is listed as a Master Mason at the age of 61 with his son Wesley a Mason at the age of 27. Hester 23 and Mary 20 are listed as Domestic. (John) Daniel's Real Estate Value is listed as $1000 and his Personal Value at $500 which appear to be about the average for others listed at that time. Wesley's Personal Value is listed at $200. Deborah is listed at the age of 61.
In the 1880 U.S. Federal Census record, it lists (John) Daniel as an 81 year old man living in Cary, Genesee County, New York. It lists his occupation as local preacher.
John passed away 3 January, 1890 in the A.M., and is buried in the Col. Alfred Cary Cemetery, Oakfield, NY, in the Village of Oakfield, Genesee county, NY.
