Bert Carter Hosselkus Jr.
Bert Carter was born December 3, 1907 from Bert Carter Hosselkus Sr. and Alice Pearl Tafft. He married Elizabeth Morton December 25, 1937. They did not have any children.
Bert bought the Vivian Ice Company from Bob Barber, his half brother. The ice company was named after Bob Barbers wife, Vivian.
In 1982 the International Packaged Ice Assocation created
The Ice Industry Hall of Fame. Since then, Bert has been honored for making significant contributions to the ice industry.
Bert passed away November 23, 1997.
